
As part of its commitment to producing future-ready graduates, Jimoh Babalola University (JBU), Ilorin, paid a courtesy visit to the Ilorin Innovation Hub to explore strategic areas of collaboration aimed at equipping students with relevant skills for the digital economy.
A delegation from Jimoh Babalola University, led by the Officer-in-Charge, of the office of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muftau Adeniyi Ijaiya, paid a courtesy visit to the Ilorin Innovation Hub and was warmly received by the Hub’s Managing Director, Mr. Temi Kolawole, alongside the Director of Program, Mrs. Zumah Yahaya.
During the meeting, the MD Mr Temi Kolawole of Ilorin Innovation Hub commended Jimoh Babalola University for its vision and commitment to providing quality education while proactively seeking innovative partnerships that will benefit students beyond the classroom.
Responding, the Officer-in-Charge of VC’s Office, Jimoh Babalola University, Prof Muftau Adeniyi Ijaiya commended the initiative behind the Hub, and the MD and his team for leaving up to expectations. He noted their efforts in providing IT soft skills needed for Nigeria youths and others to remain relevant in their professions.
Discussions focused on three key areas of collaboration: Digital Skills Development, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, & Career Readiness
These initiatives complement JBU’s Computing and Sciences programmes while creating opportunities for students across various disciplines to acquire practical digital, entrepreneurial, and workplace skills.
At Jimoh Babalola University, the University remain committed to building meaningful partnerships that prepares students not only for graduation but for leadership, innovation, and success in a rapidly evolving world.
