The academic landscape of Kwara State witnessed a historic milestone on Thursday as Jimoh Babalola University (JBU) was officially unveiled to the public.
The ceremony, held at the University’s take-off site, followed a special prayer session led by community and religious leaders on Wednesday. During the unveiling, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Alhaji Jimoh Babalola, formally announced Professor Muftau Adeniyi Ijaiya as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
In his maiden press briefing, Prof. Ijaiya stated that the University is fully equipped to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry requirements. He invited parents and students to take advantage of the 2025/2026 admission window, noting that admisssion for the first intake of students has fully commenced.
Other Principal Officers that were announced are: Mr Samson Oluwatosin Oyebamiji (Acting Registrar), Mrs Ruth Oluwatoyin Oyerinde (Acting Admissions Officer), Dr Daud Omotoso Saheed (Acting Director, Academic Planning).
