
The Management of Jimoh Babalola University (JBU), Ilorin, has reinforced its commitment to strategic academic collaboration with a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, at his office in Malete.
Leading the delegation, the Officer-in-Charge of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Muftau Adeniyi Ijaiya, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and opportunity to engage. He highlighted the significant role played by Kwara State University in manpower development within Kwara State and across Nigeria, describing the institution as a key contributor to academic excellence and human capital growth.
Professor Ijaiya commended KWASU’s strides in research and staff development and emphasized JBU’s interest in fostering collaborative efforts, particularly in areas that will enhance staff capacity and institutional advancement.
The Founder of Jimoh Babalola University also conveyed gratitude for the reception and sought continued support, guidance, and goodwill towards the growth and development of the University.
In his response, the Vice-Chancellor of KWASU, Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, lauded the vision behind the establishment of JBU and commended the leadership for laying a solid foundation for the institution’s future. He assured the delegation of his support and encouraged the University to explore collaborative opportunities that would drive mutual growth and academic excellence.
Professor Jimoh further noted KWASU’s strong footing in Allied Health Science programmes and applauded JBU’s initiative in establishing programmes within the same field, describing it as a step in the right direction.
Also present at the visit was Mr. Azeez Abdulganiyy, a staff member of Jimoh Babalola University.
