The Management of Jimoh Babalola University, Ilorin, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, Hon. Sheu Abdulrahman Babatunde Ladan, on Monday January 26, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration and community partnership.

The University delegation was led by the Officer-in-Charge of the Vice Chancellor’s Office, Prof. Muftau Adeniyi Ijaiya, who expressed appreciation to the Local Government Council for its continuous support towards the growth and development of the institution. He highlighted the importance of sustained cooperation between the University and the Local Government in fostering educational advancement and community development.

In his remarks, Prof. Ijaiya emphasised the necessity of the rehabilitation of the University’s access road, noting that the road rehabilitation would enhance accessibility, safety, and overall institutional operations.

In his response, the Executive Chairman of the Local Government assured the University Management that the request would receive due consideration. He reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to collaborative initiatives that promote infrastructure development, quality education, community growth, and youth advancement within the Local Government area.

The visit further underscored the shared vision of both institutions to work together in advancing sustainable development and strengthening the relationship between the University and its host community.

Other Management Staff present included the Acting Registrar, Mr S.O. Oyebamiji; the Acting Director of Academic Planning, Dr D.S. Omotoso; and the Acting Admissions Officer, Mrs O.R. Oyerinde.
