Prof. Ijaiya Charges Students on Discipline and Academic Excellence During Interactive Session with the Management

Jimoh Babalola University, Ilorin, on Friday, January 16, 2026, organised an interactive session between the University’s Principal Officers and students as part of efforts to strengthen communication, transparency, and shared responsibility within the academic community.

The session was led by the Officer-in-Charge of the Vice Chancellor’s Office, Prof. Muftau Adeniyi Ijaiya, who addressed the students on academic expectations, institutional policies, student conduct, and the University’s strategic vision for growth and development.

In his remarks, the Officer-in-Charge of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office emphasised the importance of discipline, dedication to studies, and adherence to University regulations as essential components of academic success. He encouraged them to take full advantage of the University’s serene learning environment and opportunities to develop themselves intellectually and professionally.

Other Principal Officers present at the interactive session included the Acting Registrar, Mr S.O. Oyebamiji; the Acting Director of Academic Planning, Dr D.S. Omotoso; the Acting Admissions Officer, Mrs O.R. Oyerinde; and the Acting Student Affairs Coordinator, Mr Q. Jimoh. Each officer took turn to address the students within their respective areas of responsibility, providing clarifications on administrative procedures, academic planning, admission processes, and student welfare matters.

The interactive format of the meeting afforded the students the opportunity to engage directly with the University’s leadership. Questions and contributions from students were addressed comprehensively. These further reinforced the culture of openness and mutual respect within the institution.

The session underscored the University’s commitment to inclusive leadership, student-centered administration, and the continuous building of a strong and disciplined academic culture.
