2025/2026 Academic Session Commences at Jimoh Babalola University

On Monday 5th January, 2026, Jimoh Babalola University, Ilorin, officially commenced the 2025/2026 Academic Session with the registration and documentation of newly admitted students.

The exercise, which began on Monday, January 5, 2026, marked the formal commencement of the 2025/2026 academic session. Newly admitted students were received on campus and guided through structured registration procedures, including credential verification, departmental documentation, and clearance processes.

Led by the Officer-in-Charge of the Vice Chancellor’s Office, Prof. M.A. Ijaiya, University officials and administrative staff were on ground to ensure a seamless and orderly exercise, providing assistance and clarification to students and parents where necessary. Other University officials present were the Acting Registrar, Mr S.O Oyebamiji, the Acting Director of Academic Planning, Dr D.S Omotoso, the Acting Admissions Officer, Mrs O.R Oyerinde, and the Acting Student Affairs Coordinator, Mr Q. Jimoh. The process reflects the institution’s commitment to efficiency, transparency, and adherence to academic standards.

The commencement of the session signals another significant milestone in the University’s steady growth and consolidation as a centre of excellence. Students are expected to complete all required registration formalities within the stipulated timeframe to enable to have full participation in academic activities.

Prof. Ijaiya further encouraged members of the University community to demonstrate maximum cooperation in order to ensure a smooth transition into the new academic year.
